About Strawberry Data Hub

What is Strawberry Data Hub?

Strawberry Data Hub (SDH; formerly GDS) is a genomic and breeding-resource database for Fragaria. It collects genome assemblies, annotations, sequences and analysis tools, and currently covers 18 Fragaria species.

How is SDH structured?

The portal is a Spring Boot service that provides the pages and the metadata API. Sequence search (BLAST/SequenceServer) and the genome browser (JBrowse) run as independent services, and large data files are served directly by the web server so downloads are not routed through the application.

How do I cite Strawberry Data Hub?

How can I contact the SDH team?

Dr. Fei Chen — feichen@njau.edu.cn

Mailing address: No. 1 Weigang, Xuanwu District, Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. Postal code 210032.

Who should I contact if I find a mistake or bug in the database?

Please report it to the administrator by email at 739427754@qq.com, or on WeChat at rRunning_MAN.

Data download and submission

What data and information does SDH contain?

SDH provides genome assemblies, annotations, CDS and protein sets, gene and gene family search, transcription factors, miRNA loci, synteny between assemblies, a genome browser, and sequence similarity search. It supports molecular biology, genomics, genetics and phylogenetic work on strawberry, and is updated as new assemblies are verified.

How can I download data from SDH?

Everything published by SDH is listed on the download page, grouped by species and assembly version, with curated genome FASTA, GFF/GFF3, CDS and PEP/protein files.

How can I contribute my data to SDH?

We welcome collaboration. If you have data such as a transcriptome or a genome assembly that you would like included, write to feichen@njau.edu.cn.

What is the future plan for SDH?

We will continue expanding assembly, transcriptome, epigenome, germplasm, and breeding evidence while preserving assembly-specific identifiers and source citations. New tools are added only after their data scope and validation limits can be stated clearly.
